Delayed Blog

I want to let everyone know that my daughter and fiancee are in town, so it will be another week or so before I post my next blog. My next two blogs are already planned unless I receive an idea from one of my wonderful readers. I truly look forward to discussing the next couple of topics with all of you.

As a side note, we could get 3.5 feet of snow this week in D.C.! Not only is snow awesome, but it keeps the Federal Government from working (which means I have the day off).

hey...yeah...your cuz's income tax check was 4 days late due to treasury's closure because of snow. Trent needless to say...said it should have at least snowed here too!!! Hope you had fun in snow with Chloe & Lauren.

Welcome to my Universe

I have had a long three decades to think about things. And I have come to the conclusion that I might as well write about some of the things I have been thinking about. My goal is to create provocative work that will help people open up their minds to new possibilities concerning the world, even the universe. I will write about various topics that I truly hope will spur on some good debates, but please be cognizant that this blog is primarily to open intellectual discussions that are typically shied away from.

I have never been a real people pleaser. I tend to have my ideas poised and ready with an open mind for discussion. The goal is not to prove anything, rather to offer well researched possibilities. Who knows where this Blog may go. Wherever it may go, I truly hope that some mind somewhere will be affected in a positive way. I will promise that closed minded individuals will most likely not like this site. Meaning if you are not a person who can shut your mouth for five seconds and consider another argument (or if you don't like this use of the word argument, then call it an idea), you will write mean stuff and your ears will get all red along with your face. Your heart rate will rise as you read, and then you will not be able to sleep due to your anger concerning my ignorance.

The problem is that none of us are always right, even the Universe Expert. I will be fair, and every post is open for comment. And when someone brings up a good point that I have not thought of, I will make my best attempt to sanely discuss it. By the way, hyperbole is one of my preferred means of communication, so if you are not aware of what this term means, please look it up before you read my first blog so as not to argue against obvious exaggerations.

Most people have a problem telling things the way they are. Many people skirt sensitive issues. I am not going to do this (unless I see that it would be hurtful to readers) simply because I am not everyone else. I have done alot of stuff, and I have seen alot of stuff. And I aim to write about alot of stuff.

I hope you will join me on this journey. I have contacted one writer who I well trust and respect in the event that he may be interested in participating in a few blogs, and another PhD acquaintance of mine will hopefully find some time to comment once in a while. Everyone is welcome to submit ideas and post comments. Please keep the comments PG so I do not have to delete them. If I say something you absolutely loathe, please let me know. If I say something that is hurtful, please let me know so I can reevaluate my post. Readers make the blog. I can write all I want and if nobody reads it, I am merely exercising my fingers.

This will be a fun, no BS blog using some original ideas and some ideas from readers and fans. Again, anyone can comment, but should you want to keep up with the blog, just create a Google account so you can follow my posts.
